Meet the Heart Behind Isla & Psalm

Hi, I’m Justyna — founder of Isla & Psalm and a New Jersey–licensed teacher with a background in high school science.

My time in the classroom opened my eyes to how much education has shifted—
more screens, less hands-on learning…
more structure, less curiosity…
more data, less individual growth.

I carried those observations with me—until I became a mother.

When my daughter Isla was born, everything became clearer. The desire to raise my children in a way that honors their minds, creativity, values, and God-given purpose grew stronger than ever.

I wanted more for them.
More than what I experienced in school.

A foundation built on real-life skills, critical thinking, independence, and faith.
An education that develops the whole child—not just academically, but personally and spiritually.

Isla & Psalm was created from that place.

A space where children learn through hands-on exploration, meaningful work, and truth-rooted values—and where mothers feel supported, not overwhelmed.

Because if this is the kind of education I want for my own children, I want other families to have access to it too.
